Operation Safe Horizon - Date 27th June 2009
Situation
Whilst engaged on a state visit, the U.S. President’s helicopter was forced to land after being damaged by small arms fire in the remote forest region of Tskhinvali. The President who was traveling with his military aide Lt Robert Price was also in possesion of the football. This is the device which maintains the President’s ability to launch the United States Nuclear Arsenal from anywhere on the globe.
It is belived that both Georgian and Russian forces intercepted the Mayday Signal from the President’s helecopter and have forces en-route to the crash site.
The U.S. military have alerted a rescue force from the U.S. Navy SEALS who at this time are inbound to the crash site.

This is a mil sim event there will be no returning to the safe zone to eat or reload magazines.
Ammo Limits will be in place 600 rnds to be carried in magazines only. Pistols with a maximum of two magazines in addition to the 600 rounds.
Snipers 100 rounds with a maximum of two spare pistol magazines, Support Gunners 2500 Rounds
You will be able to return to your harbour area to reload no loose ammo to be carried on you.
All equipment must be carried in your bergan or webbing.
All cooking will be done in the field.
A command structure will be in place and patrol commanders nominated.
A full rules briefing will be given before the start of the event.
